This master’s thesis deals with rebuild of RC car model for use of autonomous sensors. Practical part of the thesis is divided to five main parts. The First part deals about selection of suitable RC model. Next part of thesis deals with detailed description of the RC model. The third part of thesis deals about selection of microcontroller which will be processing the model control. The fourth part of thesis deals about construction changes of the model. The last part of thesis deal about Simulink control of the vehicle.
Microcomputer in Ultramicro Aircraft/Helicopter
Široký, Adam ; Přibyl, Bronislav (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the development of embedded system for ultra light airplanes and helicopters. The aim is to suggest, make and test the system with help of which it would be possible to take notes of a flight data set. The set is formed by GPS coordinates, altitude, speed and leans in both axes. The base of the system is created on microcontroller of the MSP430 family by Texas Instruments. A reader will be offered the used hardware, the system suggestion, its realization, the way of function verification and the possibility of using of the suggested system.
Flight Timer in Ultramicro Aircraft/Helicopter
Široký, Adam ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the development of embedded system for ultra light airplanes and helicopters. The aim is to design a system which would allow to measure and record the length of individual flights. It is therefore an onboard electronic diary which should facilitate and streamline the administration associated with sport aircraft operation. The base of the system is created on microcontroller of the MSP430 family by Texas Instruments. A reader will be offered the used hardware, the system design, the way of function and the possibility of using of the suggested system.
Light wavelength measurement module
Matoušek, Vojtěch ; Štohl, Radek (referee) ; Havránek, Zdeněk (advisor)
Measurement of the wavelength of light source by means of dual-wavelenght photodiode sensor is easy and fast. From the dependencies of the measured voltages corresponding to generated photocurrents of both elements of dual-wavelength sensor it can be calculated the information about wavelenght and intensity of the measured light source. Evaluation, displaying on LCD and sendind of measured information to PC are ensured with microcontroller from the AVR family – ATMega32. One part of the project is also visualization software for PC. Measurement module can be powered with wall socket power adaptor or with battery.
Implementation of printed circuit board with high-speed data lines
Čunderlík, Dávid ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This master’s thesis covers the design of PCBs with high-speed buses and signal paths. Theoretically describes the causes of problems associated with the design of these systems and their general solutions. Emphasis is placed on recommendations for system designs with DDR3 / 4 memories and PCIe interface. The work describes the recommendation for each critical point of the design and an example of these recommendations is designed PCB with ARM processor TI AM6526 on an 8-layer printed circuit board in the format "System on module" with a size of 80x60 \, mm. The connection of this "SoM" to the expansion boards is solved via a pair of DF40-100DS connectors and the "SoM" itself contains 4 memory modules DDR4 interface for Micro-SD cards, 16GB eMMC memory.
Family Independent Microcontroller Programming Library
Konečný, Ondřej ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This project describes a concept of a library architecture that will enable to hide platform-specific behaviour of different MCUs under an united API that will enable the developers to develop portable applications. After a short summary of the current situation, the report describes the main principles of the library-to-be followed by definitions of behaviour of each module that can be controlled using the library. Then this report describes techniques used in the implementation and platform specifics. In the conclusion there is an idea of the direction in which the development could continue.
Automatic switch between mains and accumulator power supply
Šišák, Dalibor ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Kubánek, David (advisor)
This work deals with the solution of automatic switch between mains and accumulator power supply. For simplicity, versatility and variability of the device is controlled by a programmed microcontroller from Texas Instruments series MSP430G. Because one of the requirements is supply the device from battery power, the work deals with a design of the device, but also the selection of appropriate components with favorable characteristics such as low self-consumption or power dissipation. It also discusses how to protect the switching elements and the entire plant, converter for solar battery charging and the possibility of interaction with the user in the form of an information display and keyboard.
Parking Spot Detection Using Radar
Rafajová, Kateřina ; Zemčík, Pavel (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this work is to detect free parking spaces by using radar equipment. The radar sends a signal which is reflected from objects around it and then is received back. After processing, a 2D/3D point cloud (space around the radar) is available. By merging this information with the information about car's speed or GPS position, it is possible to obtain the car's displacement and calculate the coordinates of points from the surroundings. By saving these points it is possible to specify the space the car passes. The result is a map of points, where using appropriate methods, free parking spaces can be detected. By linking the place to the corresponding GPS record, the exact GPS position of the free place is available. The result of this work is a system analysing radar data. It can be used as an input for overall free parking spaces monitoring system, which would save drivers a lot of time while using it.
Time Measurement for Firesport with Wireless Sensors
Šostý, Radim ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with design and implementation of flexible modular electronic stopwatch system for use in resport. One of the advantages of the system is possibility of using wireless communication with sensors and displays. Developed system consist of main control unit, external display, wireless modules for communication with the sensors and desktop application that collects data and controls the system. Solution of system components, communication between them and method of time synchronization of wireless devices is also described in this thesis.
